marching to the beat of marchesa

Some of the gowns from the S/S '10 collection
The muse, Marchesa Luisa Casati

One of a kind embroidery? Check. Architectural shapes and unique aesthetic? Check. Cult following? Once again, check.
Only Georgina and Keren of Marchesa are able to combine these unique qualities into one coherent line, infused with Asian influence and a vintage-y feeling. The elegant gowns caught my eye during a rainy day spent browsing Neiman Marcus online, and I've been hooked ever since.
Inspired by the 20th century Italian style icon Marchesa Luisa Casati, Marchesa creates beautiful evening wear unlike any seen before. I can definitely see myself wearing one their gowns to a high-society party. Too bad the attire at sweet 16's and Bat Mitzvahs doesn't call for dirndls and endless tiers!
